Meet Stacy Jagger

The Founder of Music City Family Therapy, creator of the Mountain Method™,  author of The 30 Day Blackout, & frequent mental health contributor to ABC and NBC affiliates in her hometown of Nashville, TN, Dr. Stacy Jagger brings her entrepreneurial spirit to everything she does.

Often praised for her connection based, rapid results approach to relational and family challenges, Stacy earned the nickname “Dr. Sassy” for her ability to boldly speak hard truths with humor. Her no nonsense style has been helping individuals and families across the country heal for over a decade.

As a survivor of complex childhood trauma, Stacy’s story could have been very different. Growing up with extremely little in a town where wealth and fame were the norm, her options were limited. Navigating chronic housing insecurity, familial violence and addiction, & childhood sexual abuse; Stacy survived some of the worst things children can survive.

But, living full time in “survivor mode” has consequences. Thrown into a paralyzing depression shortly after completing her undergraduate degree, Stacy was forced into inpatient psychiatric treatment. It was there that’s she began her own healing journey to understand how the challenges she overcame impacted her nervous system, relational patterns, & approach to life.

By the grace of God, the support of community, and her own rebellious commitment to peace, Stacy began to unlock what it takes to disconnect and reconnect to life. She began supporting her growing family while putting herself through graduate school & growing her therapeutic practice. In every arena, Stacy’s grit and creativity challenged the status quo.

I survived a difficult childhood by living in my imagination. That creativity crossed over in my adult life when I needed it. So, when I began my practice and saw things that weren’t working, took too long, or didn’t address the root of the problem - I created something new that did.

Many years later, Stacy’s work as an advocate for children and families continues to grow and evolve. Through her non profit Advocate for the Creative Child, the Little House at Sunnybrook Farm Retreat Center, her children’s books, & parental training courses, the Dr. Sassy brand is always innovating.

Most of her professional time is now dedicated to working with elite professionals in her executive coaching practice where her Mountain Method™ has been adapted to address the unique stressors of hyper success. Stacy lives her full and rewarding life in middle TN with her husband & partner, holistic naturopath Ron Jagger, and their four amazing children.
